Salamanders, newts, ribbed newts, and axolotls are the stars of this exhibition, with special attention to the axolotl conservation, which seeks to awaken the visitor's curiosity and highlight the risks they face.
The aim is to explain why amphibians are essential to ecosystems and how they are affected by [the environment/culture/etc.]. effects of climate change and habitat lossIn addition to learning about their characteristics and behaviors, the public will find simple guidelines to help protect them both inside and outside urban environments.
Workshop “Jump for the Amphibians”
Saturday's hands-on activity is designed to make science more accessible and engaging. During the workshop “Jump for the amphibians”Families will explore biological processes, curiosities, and conservation projects that are taking place in different parts of the world.
- Learning from life cycle of frogs and its metamorphosis
- To know the anatomy and conservation of axolotl
- Understanding why some species, such as poison dart frogsThey are poisonous
- Delivery of a list of common and threatened amphibians in Andalusia to continue learning at home
Commitment to conservation and education
The Seville Aquarium reinforces its role as a space for environmental education and awareness-raising, with the aim of inspiring actions that help protect rivers, oceans, and their biodiversity. The priority is to foster scientific knowledge and respect for the natural environment from an early age.
To advance this goal, the aquarium collaborates with universities, foundations, public administrations and companies, driving conservation programs and outreach that brings interest in science closer to the largest number of people.
Anyone who visits these days will find a complete selection: exhibition along the route and a hands-on workshop in a unique setting, with activities included with admission and adapted to different levels.
